With Wind & Fire, Belgian artist Marie Michielssen ventures into relatively new territory for her: glass. A very lively material, shaped by a combination of wind and fire. Marie saw glass as a new opportunity to experiment with colour. This collection picks up the organic shapes of her papier-mâché Earth collection, as well as completely new shapes. Marie Michielssen explains: "The shape of these vases is reminiscent of old apothecary jars: I love the proportions of these jars."
